Recline on loungers with an unbroken view across the bay to Cape Byron and Julian Rocks. Lucky loungers may spy a whale during the migration months, or an occasional dolphin pod performance!
You’ll also spot the tip of the sunken ship Wollongbar. The ship came to a watery end after breaking free of its moorings during a storm in 1922.Today, the ship is lovingly referred to as The Wreck by locals and is a popular surf spot.
A vast and secluded stretch of world-famous Byron Bay beach on the resort’s doorstep. Belongil Beach offers more than two kilometres of pristine sands, Pacific Ocean views and the Belongil Estuary – perfect for a morning beach walk, a summer dip, or family beach day.
Recent regional flooding has shifted the flow path of the Belongil creek, subsequently cutting off direct beach access from the resorts beach lounge. Beach access will be via a path adjacent to the resort until mother nature shifts the creeks direction again.
Enjoy elevated cocktails and ice cold drinks served from a vintage camper bar during summer on the sands of Belongil Beach. Sip while soaking up the serenity.

Explore the resort’s 20 acres of native rainforest and wetlands along 2km of signposted walking trails. Choose to wander on your own, or meet the resort’s resident Ranger for a complimentary guided walk that will open your eyes to the secrets of our resident wildlife. You’ll learn how to spot traces of animal life, local wildlife and even get the chance to sample indigenous bush foods that grow naturally in the resort’s backyard. Collect your trail map, or book your guided tour at reception.
Game. Set. Match. On-site all weather tennis court sits within the rainforest surrounds. Equipment can be borrowed from reception.
Discover the Byron Bay coastline and forest on horseback. The on-resort horse ranch is home to friendly and professional instructors and even friendlier horses. After an easy introductory lesson, jump in the saddle and open your eyes to the forest from an entirely new perspective, and find your breath taken away as the forest ends and you ride out onto the sand. Open to resort guests and the public.
