Not sure where to start? Here are our top picks of Byron Bay in February.
Throughout February
February is definitely more mellow than the previous summer months as the crowds pour out of town and head, reluctantly, back home.
With average highs of 27ºC and average lows of 21ºC, the weather is warm and opens up the possibility for just about any activity that takes your fancy. Stretch out poolside, fossick for shells at the beach, shop until you drop or go for a moonlit walk with the waves licking at your toes.
14 February
Did you know the tradition of wooing your loved one with blooms, confectionery and greeting cards started way back in 18-century England?
Set the tone for a romantic getaway by pre-ordering one of Elements of Byron’s decadently delicious bouquets of a dozen Valrhona chocolate covered strawberries before you arrive. Delivered straight to your villa and guaranteed to delight. Made to order, ensure you contact reception with your request at least 48 hours prior to checking in.

Make Valentine’s dinner an evening to remember at Elements of Byron. Start with an indulgent soak in your private villa bath then watch the sunset across Belongil Beach with a cocktail in hand, care of Botanica Beach Club’s vintage camper bar.
Take a short stroll, hand in hand, to Azure Bar and Grill where the dining room atmosphere is relaxed, elevated and warmed by authentic service. Try a cocktail made with botanicals foraged on-resort or a wine from our award winning list to accompany inspired, ingredient-led dishes from the menu.
Retire to the fire pit for a night cap against the backdrop of the Central Lagoon Pool and dancing flames.
Venture into Byron village for a romantic, beachfront dinner at Beach. The restaurant kisses the sands of Clarkes Beach and sets the tone with contemporary Australian cuisine and knowledgeable service. The kitchen specialises in perfectly cooking and delicately balancing the flavours of fresh local seafood.
Head further afield to a Lennox Head favourite, Shelter. This full service, beachside restaurant is renowned for its cocktail culture, seasonal menu and simplistic coastal cool aesthetic. Enjoy dining whilst watching the waves roll in and feeling ocean breezes caress your skin.

Also in Byron village, The Smoking Camel is vibrantly designed, bold in flavour and just plain cheeky when it comes to cocktail creation. Modern middle eastern eats served with a party atmosphere.
Under the sloped ceilings of a 1910’s schoolhouse, The Hut is a little hinterland slice of Mediterranean goodness amongst the trees. Lunch only.
Further afield, and inspired by Raffles in Singapore, Tweed River House is a hatted restaurant and grand dame that offers wide mountain views and impeccable plates. It’s a 50 minute drive from Elements, but when occasion calls, it’s well worth it.
