Babymoon in Byron Bay

A babymoon is one of the most exciting trips you’ll ever make. As you prepare for the arrival of a very special addition to your family, it’s great to be able to reconnect as a couple, reflect on what’s to come and contemplate the next phase of your life.

Whether your babymoon is a couples-only retreat before the little one arrives, or a celebration with your newborn, Byron Bay is the perfect place to rest, relax and rejuvenate.

With so many delicious food options, nurturing spa treatments and fabulous shopping you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Here’s our five day itinerary, perfectly curated to help you make the most of your Byron babymoon.

Day 1

Afternoon

With extensive resort facilities all within easy walking distance of your villa, starting your babymoon from the moment you arrive is a breeze. Drop your bags in your villa and change into your swimsuit – it’s pool time.

The Central Lagoon Pool is the heart of Elements of Byron. The expansive, temperature-controlled pool is perfect for swimming all year round. A collection of hanging beds, pool lounges and cabanas beg for endless days relaxing with a copy of Elemental magazine or a book from the resort library.

Have a healthy snack delivered directly to your lounge from Breeze Poolside Bar and Café.

Evening

Dry off and head to Azure Bar and Grill for a first night feast. Your evening begins with a mocktail around the poolside Fire Pit. Once in the dining room, Executive Chef Ebony Baker and her experienced culinary team tempt taste buds with ingredient-led dishes that showcase the finest foraged, indigenous and local ingredients balanced with fine dining precision.

After a swim and unforgettable first night feast, your private villa is calling. Fold yourself into luxury linens and the heavenly support of Elements’ specially made, sleep-optimised beds.

Day 2

Begin Your Day

Begin your day with mindfulness. Join our resident yoga instructor on the edge of Belongil Beach for the First Light Club. Allow our instructor to customise flows that promote gentle movement, relaxation and mindful wellbeing, set against endless Pacific Ocean views. Leave standing a little taller and feeling a little lighter.

Feed your body a nutritious breakfast, taking your pick of Azure Bar and Grill’s generous morning buffet, whilst dining on the al fresco terrace.

Morning

Through the resort, you’ll find four separate ecologies: dunal, rainforest, eucalypt and grasslands. Join our resident naturalist on a guided walk through the rainforest. Discover resident wildlife and indigenous bush foods and feel the calming effect of a leisurely forest walk.

Head to the Adults Exclusive Pool for some quiet time in a private cabana or lounge. The delightful weightlessness of floating in the pool is a relaxation tonic. Swim up to the Summer Salt Bar for a mocktail or have lunch delivered to your cabana.

Afternoon

Sink into the total indulgence of a pregnancy ritual at Osprey Spa. Choose from three rituals designed especially for mothers to be. Inclusions range from foot baths, pregnancy massages, vanilla cream exfoliations, sole therapy pedicures and more.

Relax into your robe and enjoy the calming spaces throughout the space, allowing the full benefit of your spa journey to soak in.

Evening

Get dressed for dinner and start with a sunset mocktail from Botanica Beach Club’s vintage camper bar on the lounges at beautiful Belongil Beach.

Just a short walk from Elements of Byron, you’ll find the thriving neighbourhood precinct of Habitat. A collection of artisan Byron retail boutiques and eateries.

Day 3

Begin Your Day

Sleep is like the golden chain that binds our health and body together. So indulge in a little extra slumber. Stay curled up in the smooth cocoon of your luxury sheets and the quiet ambience of your private villa. Then venture to Azure Bar and Grill to enjoy the breakfast buffet.

Morning

Take a short walk to North Beach Station and catch the world’s first solar train. The heritage two-car train was restored over a period of eight years. Now powered by the sun, the train takes you into Bryon village in a short 10-minute journey.

Indulge in a little retail therapy, browsing for artisan chic fashions for yourself or the cutest little creations for your bub at Arnhem, Spell and Zulu and Zephyr.

As lunch approaches, seek out Combi, an organic café renowned for its coffee, smoothies and delicious lunch fare. Or dine under the umbrellas of Bay Leaf, a local favourite.

With an inventive menu, Bayleaf offers beautifully-presented, fresh, organic food with a focus on local and seasonal produce.

Afternoon

Take the train home to Elements of Byron and lay out around the Adults Exclusive Pool. Float, nibble, sip or engage in a little playtime with a game of bocce or chess.

Feet up. Bump to the sky. Mocktail in hand. This is babymooning in style.

Evening

After your retail adventure earlier that day, take the time to practice a babymoon ritual. Soak in the quiet ambiance of your freestanding bathtub before wrapping yourself in a fluffy robe and staying in for an evening of in room dining.

Day 4

Begin Your Day

Belongil Beach offers more than two kilometres of pristine sands, Pacific Ocean views and the Belongil Estuary – perfect for a morning beach walk. You may spot the tip of the sunken ship Wollongbar. The ship came to a watery end after breaking free of its moorings during a storm in 1922.

Today, the ship is lovingly referred to as The Wreck by locals and is a popular surf spot.

Dust off the sand and fuel up for the day ahead at the Azure Bar and Grill breakfast buffet.

Morning

A short 10 minute walk from Elements of Byron, you’ll find a curated collection of unapologetically Byron retail boutiques at Habitat neighbourhood precinct. Habitat Collective is a great place to begin with 100% local homewares, accessories and fashion.

Find a cosy spot on the cushions and rugs under the trees at Vagabond. This cosy café is famous for its vegan and vegetarian dishes and healthy drinks.

Afternoon

Head back to Elements of Byron and take advantage of the relaxing spaces in your private villa. Read a book, play games, watch a movie or have an afternoon siesta.

Wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a romantic date night in Byron village.

Evening

Beach restaurant is an icon of Byron Bay dining and easily one of the destination’s most romantic restaurants. Directly overlooking Clarkes Beach, Beach offers contemporary Australian cuisine, elevated service and seasonal dining.

Perfectly cooked seafood and expertly balanced flavours are served with genuinely warm service for an unforgettable dining experience that will bring you closer.

Day 5

Begin Your Day

Soak in every last ray of that babymoon glow with a final yoga session at the First Light Club followed by an indulgent breakfast on the Azure Bar and Grill terrace.

Morning

Walk hand in hand to the Adults Exclusive Pool and pick your favourite cabana or lounge or take in the sky views while floating in the water. One last mocktail and snack from Summer Salt Bar, sounds in order!

Stride into your next family adventure feeling revived and connected.
