We believe every family member deserves an unforgettable holiday experience here at Elements of Byron.

That’s why we’ve created a range of activities, facilities and experiences perfect for the whole family.

If you want a home away from home you can relax in comfort in one of our 2-bedroom luxury villas, specially equipped for families with everything you need. There’s plenty on offer to keep the kids engaged plus lots of options for parents to relax.

If you’re thinking about a holiday with kids in Byron, there’s an endless array of fantastic family experiences to be had.

Villas Created for Families

Wondering if you’ll have enough space? Our villas are designed to allow room for the whole family to relax in comfort – and luxury. Each villa has separate indoor and outdoor living areas as well as generous bedrooms.

The Standard 2-Bedroom Villa sleeps up to four people in two king beds ((or one king and two king singles), with ensuite bathrooms attached to each bedroom and a freestanding tub in the master bedroom. Includes full kitchen and laundry facilities.

The Superior and Deluxe 2-Bedroom villas can accommodate a family of five. These villas include full kitchen and laundry facilities, offering a self-contained experience, and each has an enclosed deck that’s perfect for family dinners. The Deluxe Villa also has a private bathhouse, where mums and dads can soak up some blissful solitude.

You’ll find a range of board games in your villa, perfect for there’s entertainment for rainy days and down time.

When you’re ready to leave your haven, leave the car at the resort and head into town on the Byron Bay Train. This heritage train is fully-solar powered – a world-first innovation that’s great for the environment!

Journeys to and from Byron Bay take 10 minutes and North Beach station is a short seven-minute walk from the resort’s reception. You won’t have to worry about parking in Byron as you’ll be free to wander around the shops or head to one of Byron’s many famous beaches.

Fun Activities for the Kids

Family time means playtime and there’s plenty of activities to keep the kids engaged right here on the resort.

Elements’ Lagoon Pool Precinct is a dedicated area for our youngest guests to enjoy the water safely. Older kids can enjoy playing in the large temperature-controlled pool where they can splash in the sun. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy some time in the heated spa or recline in a private cabana.

If salt water’s more your thing the whole family can dive into the ocean at Belongil Beach – directly accessible from the resort. Belongil is lifeguard-patrolled at weekends and during summer holidays in the warmer months, and the water is deep enough for a dip but shallow enough at the shoreline for young kids to play safely.

Looking for other beach options? Check out our guide to the best Byron Bay beaches for families.

For more adventurous kids, the Parkour-Inspired, all-natural kids’ playground is located among the native rainforest. With a sand base, it’s challenging but safe for kids of all ages (including adults!) to test their agility across a range of obstacles.

Turn a family morning or afternoon into a truly unforgettable experience! Just a short walk from Elements of Byron, you can join the experts at Zephyr Horses. They will match each family member with a highly trained horse, help you get comfortable with the basics in the arena and then guide you through the forest. Don’t forget to watch your children’s faces as the leaves thin and the skies open onto the beach. With very few places where you can leave hoof prints in the sand, this is one of those moments your family will talk about for years to come.

If it’s the thrill of the chase that you seek, then perhaps the Fairy Trail is more your speed. Begin by visiting Reception to get a free, self-guided Fairy Trail Map. Solve the clues and you’ll spot colourful fairy doors on tree trunks or tiny homes hanging amongst the leaves as you walk through the trees, around the duckpond or along Belongil Beach. Don’t forget to head to Breeze, solve an important clue and claim your free slushie. Suitable for all ages, resort guests only.

For something different head to the outdoor games area and play a game of giant chess or bocce with the kids. You can even borrow a tennis kit from reception and have a game, set or match on our all-weather tennis court.

You’ll be pleased to know, during school holidays, we run a Kids’ Club. Packed with fun activities and managed by experienced staff, these are a great way for kids to play and gives parents time to enjoy a treatment at Osprey Spa.

You’ll be working up an appetite with all the activities and there are plenty of dining options right here at the resort.

Order a poke bowl at the Lagoon Pool from Breeze Poolside Bar & Eats or head out for breakfast, lunch and dinner at some of the best Byron Bay restaurants for familiesAzure Bar & Grill has a dedicated Juniors menu with spaghetti meatballs, fish & chips and a variety of pizzas.

Alternatively, treat yourself to room service with Elements In, delivered directly to your villa.

Day trips around Byron Bay for families

Byron Bay is one of the best locations with so many family day trip options to keep everyone entertained.

While there’s plenty of family-friendly options at the resort like horse-riding and guided rainforest walks, there are so many things to explore in the surrounding local area.

There’s an endless array of bushwalks, waterfalls and local attractions. Minyon FallsMt Warning and the Crystal Castle are great places to enjoy with the whole family and are all within 30 minutes drive of Elements.

More adventurous types can take a surf lesson at Let’s Go Surfing or simply hire a board and catch some waves at The Pass.

Like the ocean but don’t want waves? Head to Brunswick Heads, a charming coastal town about 15 minutes’ drive from the resort. It’s the perfect place to enjoy stand up paddle boarding or an easy kayak. The Brunswick River is a tidal river that’s wave-free and ideal for the whole family to enjoy a day on the water.

With so much to see and so many activities on your doorstep, you’ll never run out of entertainment for the kids.

Just for Adults

While Elements of Byron has plenty for the kids to do, we also seek to offer parents the opportunity to relax, reconnect and rejuvenate in barefoot luxury.

The Adults Exclusive Pool is reserved for adults and features private cabanas and a swim-up bar area. It’s a stunning place to unwind in the water, recline in your own private cabana, or enjoy a Chilled Mango Mai Tai at the swim-up Summer Salt bar! Match a creative cocktail with a selection or dips or indulge in your favourite selection from the Grill.

And to truly indulge your senses and revitalise mind and body, head to Osprey Spa.

This light-filled, luxury spa is the epitome of tranquillity, offering high-quality hands-on treatments from experienced therapists. Choose from handpicked head-to-toe rituals (Osprey’s signature treatments), spa treatments including massages and facials, or create your own custom spa package featuring your favourite spa treatments.
